| Cymbidium hybrid, also known as Cymbidium orchid, belongs to Orchidaceae Cymbidium. They are variety populations through the artificial hybridization breeding of large flowers epiphytic type, small flowers vertical type and some kinds of terrestrial orchids. It takes more than100years to breed this variety. A dozen wild varieties have been hybridized such as Cymbidium eburneum, Cymbidium lowianum, cymbidium insigne, Cymbidium orchid. Cymbudium erythrostylum, Cymbidium tracyanum and cymbidium. Orchid plants are mainly used as ornamental flowers in the flower markets, and in recent years, studies on the chemical composition of orchid plants gradually increase, part of the orchid plants also have certain biological activities, such as:skin lightening, antioxidation, hypolipidemic, liver protection. In this paper, we summarized the studies of its chemical composition, pharmacological activity and its extraction method. We studied the water soluble residue of the methanol extracts of Cymbidium hybrid with solvent extraction, column chromatography and HPLC, etc. And11compounds were isolated and purified. These compounds have been identified by means of1D-NMR and2D spectroscopic techniques. The compounds were identified as follows:lunagradetrnalgreen A (1), marylaurecinosides B (2), lunagradetrnalgreen B (3),(2R)-2-benzyl-2-hydroxysuccinic acid (4),4-0-β-D-glucopyranosyl-phenol (5),7-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-4-hydroxybenzyl alcohol (6),4-hydroxybenzyl alcohol (7), marylaurecinosides C (8), ermanin(9), quercetin-3-O-a-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→6)-β-D-glucopyranoside (10); apigenin-8-C-β-D-glucopyranoside (11);... |
