Zanthoxylunm bungeanum has long been used as one kind of spice and oriental medicine,is distributed in nature and has the ability of antibiosis and anti-inflammatory.It has potentialfor application as functional food, health keeping medicals and so on. In recent years, thereare more and more researches on the pharmacological activities and the chemical constituentsof Zanthoxylunm bungeanum,with few research about extraction technology of flavonoidsreported. This study optimized the parameters of processes of the flavonoids obtained bysupercritical fluid extraction(SFE).As an evaluation method, the antioxidant activities in vitro were used to determine itsbioactivities of the flavonoid-enriched extracts. So the study investigate the antioxidantactivivities of Zanthoxylunm bungeanum and correlation between between it and totalflavonoid cotent and total polyphenol.Moreover, we determinate the content of totalflavonoids in Zanthoxylunm bungeanum from different habitats and different varieties by UVspectrophotometry,and the four flavone glycosides by HPLC. These results could provide acomprehensive and systematic reference for further development and utilization.The main results are:(1) The results indicated that the optimum extracting process were as follows: extractivetemperature50℃, extractive pressure35Mpa, extractive time150min and dosage ofcosolvent is4.5mL/g. Under the above-mentioned conditions, the yields could arrive19.57%.(2) The contents of total flavonoids and phenolics in different provenances weresignificantly different. Fengxiandahongpao had the highest total flavonoids content and Qinan1had the highest total phenolics content.(3) Results show significant differences of the four flavonoids in the five Zanthoxylunmbungeanum varieties. Different provenances contained different kinds of flavonoids, and thecontents are significantly different. Fengxiandahongpao had the highest content of rutin,quercetin, isorhamnetin, the contents were28.63mg/g,0.582mg/g,62.18μg/g, respectively.The order of other provenances is Qinan1>Zanthoxylum simulans>Hanchengdahongpao>Goujiao;The quercetin contents order of other provenances is: Zanthoxylum simulans>Hanchengdahongpao>Goujiao>Qin an1; The isorhamnetin contents order is: Hancheng dahongpao>Zanthoxylum simulans; Qin an1had the highest content of kaempferol, thekaempferol contents order is Hanchengdahongpao>Zanthoxylum simulans Goujiao>Fengxian dahongpao.(4) The changes of total flavonoids content,total phenolics content and antioxidantactivities of Zanthoxylum bungeagum Maxim were investigated,and also the correlationbetween them. The results indicated that the total flavonoid content and total polyphenolcontent displayed significant difference among different growths of the extracts. The totalflavonoid content reached its highest level in August(164.14mg/g).Total polyphenol contentreached its highest level in June(77.17mg/g).The correlation between the total flavonoidcontent,total polyphenol content and reducing power was significantly positive(p<0.01),andthe correlation coefficients are0.977and0.960respectively; there is also a significantpositive relationship between flavonoid content,polyphenol content and·OH-scavengingcapacity,and their correlation coefficients are0.917and0.933respectively. The above resultsindicated that the Zanthoxylum bungeagum Maxim pericarp can be used as a valuable sourceof antioxidant products.(5) The study compared the content of total flavonoids and total phenolics from20different origins, results show that the regional differences significantly influence its content;According to the content of flavonoids,the from20regions can be grouped into threecategories:the high content category, Middle class content category,in which the content oftotal flavonoids between77.2and125.8mg/g and low content category(37.4~65.1mg/g).
