China is a big country of forage planting in the world, but the level of mechanization is low. Inrecent years, the manufacture and spread of forage harvesting has a bigger development, but mostof them are large or medium mower-crusher, Chinese forage mostly grew in mountainous andterrace, the existing models do not meet the conditions of our country, which seriously restrict thedevelopment of forage industry, therefore, it is imperative to develop the4GH-120walking type ofmountain multifunctional harvester.According to the requirement of the4GH-120walking mountain multifunctional harvesterharvest agronomic, the structure of the cutter was analyzed, the three-dimensional virtual prototypemodel was established by the3D modeling software Pro/E, the important parts of cutter wereanalyzed by using the finite element analysis software ANSYS, the deformation and stressdistribution of moving blade, chain, sprocket and cutting bedplate plate were analyzed in theworking process. The finite element analysis results show that: the maximum stress of blade is0.635MPa, the maximum stress of chain plate is0.258MPa, both of them are far less than thematerial allowable stress, and also show that dynamic blade and the chain plate are deformation part,the farther away from the constraint the deformation amount is large, the stress of deformationconstraint points becomes large because of the hindered constrained; the largest deformation ofsprocket is52.6m, the maximum deformation of cutting platen is56.4m, which fully meet thedesign requirements.The three dimensional simulation of cutter was analyzed by using ADAMS virtual prototypingtechnology software, and the characteristics were analyzed in its working condition. The simulationresults show that: when the engine speed is maintained at1500r/min~2000r/min, the section speedof moving blade cutting is4.2m s~6.8ms, which is4~8times of reciprocating cutter cuttingspeed in the working condition of the same speed of driving main shaft.Field test shows that the cutter of4GH-120multifunctional harvester walking mountain has agood working condition, high cutting speed, stable running, small vibration, blade, chain plate andother components are in line with design requirements, cutting platen has no deformation,simulation results are consistent with the finite element analysis of ANSYS and ADAMS.
