Water and soil loss is one of most important problem for the wild world and takesgrave threats to our environment. Analyze and evaluate the water and soil loss correctlybase on the monitoring system is benefit for us to learn the change in soil erosion and theimpact for our social and environment, providing scientific proof for comprehensivetreatment to water and soil loss problem.Analysis and evaluation system for water and soil conservation is base on theinformation collection system for soil-water conservation. This system takes GIS as theprimary implementation technique, the data from information collection system as the datasource, accompany with the spatial analysis, finally, to get the soil erosion data of differentarea. Implementation of this system provides a base for quantified evaluation andmanagement of soil erosion.The thesis mainly contain two parts work. First of all, On the basis of the actualconditions of Hubei province in soil and water conservation monitoring mechanism,comprehensive national soil erosion remote sensing survey data, monitoring pointobservation of the soil erosion modulus data, meteorological data and rainfall data andremote sensing of vegetation cover material, topography and land use data and material,on the analysis of the contrast between two common soil erosion model based on theadvantages and disadvantages of a used to assess soil erosion in Hubei province ofdistributed soil erosion model. Secondly, based on this model, take the ArcGIS Enginetechnology as a platform, develop a water and soil conservation evaluation system suitablefor Hubei province. The system has the function of soil and water loss calculation, and canfinish the calculation results of the comparison and analysis work, and take many kinds ofways to show the results.
