The beetle Monochamus alternatus Hope (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) is an principal vector ofpinewood nematode, the causal pathogen of pine wilt disease, that has resulted in devastating losses ofpines in much of Asia. But there still wasn’t any kind of effective prevention and control measures forthis notorious pest in the international.Between the beetle Monochamus alternatus Hope,as well asbetween the adult beetle Monochamus alternatus Hope,their chemical communication relationship hasstill not been elucidated.Chinese research on the pinewood nematode was increasing rapidly in recentyears,but we mainly focus on the biology of Monochamus alternatus Hope,the occurrencerules,comprehensive prevention and the pathogenesis,the biological character of pinewood nematode. Inthe past two years, the study of nematode chemical ecology make a breakthrough. The beetleMonochamus alternatus Hope belongs to borer pests,has the characteristics of big hazards and difficultprevention.The life of the larvae is hidden in the host body,but hazards like the wormholes, pupal roomsand emergence holes in host xylem,phloem, provide important clus for our understanding and analysisof The beetle Monochamus alternatus Hope. This paper first proposed the chemical communicationmechanism of pine wood nematode get out of the beetle to the heathy host. From basic theoreticalresearch, improve chemical information mechanism of the pine wood nematode evolution and insectvector. Aslo promote understanding of exotic species invasion colonization and between theco-evolution relationship species, understanding the behavior mechanism of pine wood nematode,provide new way to controlthe spread of the pine wood nematode.Through the study of Monochamusalternatus Hope sex attractant supporting application technology and the pine wood nematodedetachment the beetle the chemical signal substances,the main result are as follows:1.The study of Monochamus alternatus regularity of distribution of the wormholes, pupal roomsand emergence holes show that: the number of the wormholes, pupal rooms and emergence holes have a“bell shaped” as the height of the tree increases, concentrate in the middle of the trunk. The amount ofwormholes in the trunk of2~5m are64.88%, the amount of pupal rooms in the trunk of2~5m are62.44%, the amount of emergence holes in the trunk of3~6m are63.47%; The number of thewormholes, pupal rooms and emergence holes on the branches are significantly higher than on the trunk,it shows that the larvae mainly distributes and damages the branches and overwinter in the branches.From the point of view with the distribution of directions, wormholes, pupal rooms and emergenceholes in the pine trees on both sides of north-south are not significant and the number of the holes is notsignifcantly associated with diameter of Pinus massoniana. The study of distribution regularity formingthe foundation for biology characteristic and Scientific control of M. alternatus larvae.Research show the point that Monochamus alternatus like spawning in the height of 2-5m.Therefore we recommended that in the case of manual condition allow, it is better hanging higherthan2m.At present, clean up the dead tree is one of the main methods of control pine wilt disease,spends a lot of manpower and resoures, but the actual effect is not very ideal.Many parts occur pine wiltdisease every year,even more and more serious.We found workers burned down the main branches onthe trunk and the root,but there wound be a lot of branches in the mountain, left many beetleMonochamus alternatus Hope.Therefore we recommend that dead branches must be removed in thecleaning work.In addition, there are large number of larvae in the dead branches on healthy trees toclean up at the same time.2. Through the experiment design and the forest experiment, screen of the best adult Monochamusalternatus slow release device and traps, with five holes of water bottles, small bags of0.2mm thicknesswall from Lin’an, a chip with300mg sex pheromone. It will help prevent and control thebeetle,prevent the spread of pine wood nematode, restrict all of them in the controllable range.3.Through comparing the volatile substances extraction from the health Pinus massonianamechanical damage Pinus massoniana and after feeding Pinus massoniana. Analysis found that thehealth Pinus massoniana content the highest α-pinene,followed by mechanical damage Pinusmassoniana. and after feeding Pinus massoniana content is minimum.Only the health Pinus massonianavolatile content camphene and β-pinene. After feeding Pinus massoniana contant the highestnonadecane,followed by the health Pinus massoniana.but we did not detect nonadecane in themechanical damage Pinus massoniana volatile.
