Foliage dressing is an important way to supply nutritional elements and improve quality of crops. Based on the greenhouse of ramie in Hunan Agricultural University and the positioning sites of ramie in Liuyang, this study designed four different formula foliar fertilizers and selected Zhongzhu-1and Tri-1as experiment materials. The pot and field experiment were performed to study the effects of different formula foliar fertilizers on growth, yield and qualities of ramie, and select the optimal formula foliar fertilization and preliminarily explore its function mechanism. The main results are as follows:1> Having been sprayed foliar fertilizer, the plant grows lushly. Leaves are larger and the color is deeper than the CK. Additionally, the growth of plants becomes faster. Root activity of treatments is obviously larger than the CK, especially treatment IV. When compared with CK, root activity of Zhongzhu-1increased38.7%, reached22.76ug/(g·h); root activity of Tri-1increased44.66%, reached24.13ug/(g-h); the POD activity of Zhongzhu-1increased15.33%, reached75.58U/(min-g)FW; the POD activity of Tri-1increased13.41%, reached67.92U/(min-g)FW.2、Foliage dressing could help to improve fiber output and biological yield. Plant length, stem diameter, thickness of skin and the other production factors were also improved, especially the treatment IV. When compared with CK, fiber output increased31.6%(Zhongzhu-1)and37.2%(Tri-1), the biological yield increased5.5%(Zhongzhu-1) and13.4%(Tri-1) in first season; fiber output increased33.6%(Zhongzhu-1)and33.1%(Tri-1); biological yield increased14.2%(Zhongzhu-1)and19.1%(Tri-1) in second season; fiber output increased by33.0%(Zhongzhu-1)and37.2%(Tri-1) in third season.3、Fiber fineness of the different foliar fertilization treatments was increased when compared with CK, especially the treatment IV. In the first season, amount of Tri-1fiber fineness increased139, the increase rate reached7.2%; amount of Zhongzhu-1fiber fineness increased98, reached4.8%. In the second season, amount of Tri-1fiber fineness increased143, the increase rate reached7.6%; amount of Zhongzhu-1fiber fineness increased109, reached5.4%. In the third season, amount of Tri-1fiber fineness increased140, the increase rate reached7.5%; amount of Zhongzhu-1fiber fineness increased52, reached2.6%.Conclusions are as follows:First of all, foliage dressing could help to improve fiber quality and plant physiological activity, especially the effect of the Compound fertilizer with humic acid. Secondly, the Compound fertilizer with microelement and major element also has impact on quality and quantity of fiber crops. Last but not least, proper usage of surfactant could help to improve the absorbability of foliar fertilizer.
