In this study, we use the Tenebrio trapping method to conduct a survey of research onthe soil of Baoding anisopliae resources and isolate144Metarhizium anisopliae to studythem virulence, resistance and their effect on Carposina sasakii Matsumura.By methods for determination of the virulence, we selected21Metarhiziumanisopliae strains of Galleria mellonella larvae with higher virulence. The mortalityof these strains was between63.67%to100.00%, and the stiff worms rate of thesestrains was between48.67%to100.00%. LT50of them was between2.38d to7.38d.The strains mortality rate of M7-10、M8-(7,8)、M6-7and M8-(1,3) was100.00%,the cadaver rate of them is100.00%、100.00%、97.86%、95.67%.The virulence test to the screening for the four strains of Carposina sasakiiMatsumura, the result showed that LT50of the four strains was3.01d、2.67d、3.55d、4.02d.A comprehensive comparative study was conducted against the larvae of Agrotis ypsilonRottemberg, Athetis lepigone Moschler and Pynrrhalta aenescens Fairn, the result showedthat LT50of the four strains on the larvae of Agrotis ypsilon Rottemberg respectively, was4.78d、4.52d、7.02d、5.34d. And on Athetis lepigone Moschler was4.41d、3.52d、5.40d、7.12d; and on Pynrrhalta aenescens Fairn was3.27d、3.73d、3.77d、4.09d.The experiment of UV capability and high temperature capability to the fourstrains showed that the performance of the best resistance strain is M8-(7,8), andthe better one is M7-10. The conidia germination rate of them was35.68%and25.00%when at a temperature of45℃. When the temperature is50℃,we observedthat there are still spore germination and growth after four days. After the strainswere irradiated for15min, the spore germination rate can still reach15.00%and10.52%,respectively. With the results of the virulence assay,we filter out two strainsof Carposina sasakii Matsumura.with high virulence and excellent traits Metarhiziumanisopliae, they are M8-(7,8) and M7-10.The strains of M8-(7,8) and M7-10was used for liquid-solid two-way fermentationstudies, and then did the field simulation experiments, compare with the pesticide ofmichael essien sulphur phosphorous. Overall, the two strains of Metarhizium anisopliaewere effective to Carposina sasakii larvae or winter cocoon. The result showed that the test for Metarhizium anisopliae in screening, fermentating and applying was of greatsignificance.
