The British scientists Buyliss and Starling first found active peptide material from gastrointestinal tract of animal in1902.There have been discovered and isolated more than100kinds of polypeptides from the internal organisms so far. With the development of molecular biology, especially application of advanced chemical detection methods in the recent thirty years, the study of peptides has been made a great progress. People found that the polypeptides not only has all kinds of amino acids, but also has the regulation of Physiological functions of the body which protein lacks. The regulation of polypeptides almost involve in all physiological activity of human body, for example, humoral circulation, metabolism, internal environment, growth and reproduction, and so on.The soybean minor peptides are the minor peptides in which the soybean protein is hydrolyzed by protease.Its low molecular weight makes it have the advantages of high absorption rate and fast absorption by the body. The feature of its structural features makes it maintain a high stability under an alkali,high temperature and other extreme conditions. As a class of biologically active peptides, it has high research value of the health products and functional food.However, there was few study on the physiological functions of soybean minor peptides,and has not been reported on the enhancement of immunity function as well.Therefore, this study adopted soybean minor peptides, which was hydrolysis of preparation process with double enzyme system in the previous study, to explore the effect of soybean minor peptides on immune system and anti-oxidation through the animal experimental model,in order to provide a theoretical basis for the further development of soybean minor peptides.The immune indexes were determined after Kunming mice were orally fed Soybean minor peptides at3,6,9(g·kg-1·d-1) doses for consecutive30days. The level of the blood-serum erythmcytolysin and the number of the antibody-proucing cells were detected to evaluate the influence of soybean minor peptides on the humoral immune system.the test of the spleen-lymphocytes transformation, delayed type hypersensitivity test, the activity of NK cells test, carbon clearance test and the test of peritoneal macmphage phagocytizing chicken red blood cells were used to investigate the effect of soybean minor peptides on the special and non-special cellular immune function. The weight of the mice and the weight of the spleens and the thoracic glands were weighed to detect the impact of soybean minor peptides on the weight of the mice and their immune organs. Moreover, the aged white rats were fed soybean minor peptides to determine the activity of SOD and GSH-Px in the tissues of erythrocyte, liver and brain.The results showed that the ability of spleen-lymphocytes transformation and the number of phagocytizing chicken red blood cells in high-dose test groups were significant higher than the control group. Compared with the control group, there were significant differences of the left and right ear weight and the number of the antibody-producing cells, as well as the antibody numbers in the high and medium dose group. However, no significant immunoragulatory effects were found in the activity of NK cells, expurgation effect by mononuclear phagocytes, weight of the mice and their immune organs under three does treatment.These results demonstrated that the soybean minor peptides could significantly stimulate proliferation and transformation of the spleen-lymphocytes; promote delayed type hypersensitivity; raise markly the quantity of antibody-producing cells; increased the level of blood-serum erythrocytolysin and the phagotrophic function of peritoneal macrophages. Therefore, the soybean minor peptides has the capability of enhancing immunity.The experiment also proved that the soybean minor peptides could significantly enhance the activity of SOD and GSH-Px from the erythrocyte and promote the activity of GSH-Px in the liver. In conclusion, the soybean minor peptides have the health protection capability of immunity-enhancement, antioxidant function and delaying aging.
