Rotary transplanting mechanism is the key component of a high speed rice transplanter, andits seeding needle tip point’s displacement which is determined by the pitch curves ofnon-circular gears has a decisive effect to the performance of high speed rice transplanter.Therefore studying the design technology of non-circular gear rotary transplanting mechanismhas an important meaning about theory and practical application. In this paper, a new kind ofreverse calculation of rotary transplanting mechanism based on the seeding needle tip point’sdisplacement with independent intellectual property rights is designed witch breaking throughtraditional design method, on the bases of a lot of research about non-circular gear rotarytransplanting mechanism. The main research work and results of this paper are as follows:1)Based on the overview about the research of the mechanization of rice cultivation inChina, the types and characteristics of the design method of non-circular gear rotarytransplanting mechanism was studied.2)A method of reverse calculation of rotary transplanting mechanism based on the seedingneedle tip point’s displacement with independent intellectual property rights is designed, whichaim at the shortage of forward design method which ensure function expression of non-circulargear pitch curve, then design non-circular gear rotary transplanting mechanism. Based onplanting trajectory which was depend on the characteristics of the transplanting mechanism andthe Agronomic requirements.3) According to the characteristics of numerical design, a kinematics numerical model ofnon-circular gear rotary transplanting mechanism was created, aim at analyzing the reversedesign method of pitch curve of non-circular, by transplanting trajectory.4)Through study working and structure characteristics of the rotary transplantingmechanism, a method to ensure overall ratio and divide ratio of non-circular gear train by usingtransplanting trajectory of transplanting mechanism, to calculate the pitch curve of non-circulargears.5)Parts of non-circular gear rotary transplanting mechanism was designed by PRO/E, andthe virtual prototype was simulated by ADAMS, to analyze the seedling needle tip point’sdisplacement、speed and acceleration, and verify the design method of transplanting mechanismprovided above.
