Seedling raising techniques are widely used for flowers, vegetables, cotton and other cropstransplanting due to seedlings robust, good field uniformity and high transplanting survival rate.Making Bowl Machine is one kind of agricultural mechanism which can press nutritive soil intoa bowl that has a certain shape and intensity. But the Making Bowl Machine are basically fixed,and need to manually install the nutritional soil, remove bowl, drain bowl, with high laborintensity and low productivity. Thus, this paper is discussed on this mobile automatic MakingBowl Machine, proposing a new kind of automatic Making Bowl Machine which isself-propelled in the greenhouse or field. This automatic soil-collecting mechanism automaticallycan collect nutritive rotary-cultivated soil and transport the soil to the soil box,which is one ofthe core mechanism of this new making bowl machine, whose performance directly affects thesuccess or failure of the entire machine. This paper carried out a detailed study of thismechanism.The main research contents and conclusions are as follows:1. The automatic getting soil mechanism is theoretically analyzed, the contents are asfollows: the kinematics and dynamics model of throwing-soil knife and nutritive soil thrown isestablished, and the main operating parameters in the process of throwing-soil knife cutting andthrowing nutritive soil are confirmed, and its parameters equations are deduced, and theinfluence of parameters on the motion characteristics of nutritive soil thrown caused by frictioncoefficient μ24,acceleration a24, the angle between throwing knife’s handle and blade tangentγ, rotational speed of throwing knife ω is analyzed, based on MATLAB program.The mainconclusions are as follows,(1) When ω>12rad/s, nutritive soil can be thrown out from blades inthe vicinity of the90-degree position above the arbor, and trajectory of throwing soil andhorizontal displacement s can meet the requirements of transportation mechanism;(2) When ω isbetween6rad/s and12rad/s, accelerationof nutrient soil thrown a24is increased slowly;(3)Whenω>12rad/s, accelerationof nutrient soil thrown a24is increased quickly, and at that time, a24willbe greater than10m/s2. 2. The numerical simulation for throwing soil movement is Carried on, and its analysis’results are as follows: a numerical model with a throwing knife and nutritive soil is established,and the characteristics of nutritive soil is analyzed.When ω=13.35rad/s, νm=0.06m/s, t=0.5s,the main results are as follows,(1) the maximum pressure of single throwing knife is0.217MPawhen the throwing knife is still in the stage of excavation;(2) In a turn-throw spin cycle, theenergy consumption is about40J, and the maximum power is0.17kw when the throwing knife isin air travel stage;(3) nutritive soil is turned and thrown in far enough distance in line withexpectations.3. Avariable speed turning-throwing mechanism with nutritive soil is put forward, and thenumerical simulation of throwing soil motion to the mechanism is carried on. when the speed ofactive elliptic gear of turning throwing mechanism with Variable speed is set to11rad/s, theresults of numerical simulation are as follows,(1) the maximum pressure of single throwing knifeis0.135MPa, then the throwing knife is still in the excavation stage;(2) in a rotating throwingcycle, energy consumption is about38J, and the maximum power is0.16kw when a throwingknife begins the hollow travel stage;(3) nutritive soil is turned and thrown in far enough distancein line with expectations.4. Built the3D modeling of the test-bed of automatic getting soil mechanism, finishedvirtual assembly and interference inspection of the test-bed, and completed the processing of theexperimental prototype, and the preliminary test, the test results and theoretical analysis,numerical simulation results are basically the same.
