【Objective】:The study aims to jointly check the expression of MMP-9and Survivin in the gastriccancer tissues of77cases and the adjacent non-cancer tissues of20cases, andpreliminarily discuss the roles of MMP-9and Survivin in the production anddevelopment of gastric cancer and the correlation of their expressions in gastric cancer.【Method】:Collect pathology and postoperation wax specimen of the gastric cancer tissues of77cases with complete clinical data from Yan’an University Affiliated Hospital during2011to2012, select the adjacent non-cancer tissues (above5cm from cancer tissues) of20cases among them, adopt immunohistochemical SP method to check the expressionsof MMP-9and Survivin in gastric cancer, and apply SPSS17.0software package tocarry out statistical treatment.【Result】:I. The expression of MMP-9in gastric cancer and adjacent tissuesThe positive rate of MMP-9in adjacent tissues is45%, obviously lower than that ingastric cancer tissues,79.2%, and there is a distinct difference between them (p<0.01).II. The expression of Survivin in gastric cancer and adjacent tissuesThe positive rate of Survivin in gastric cancer tissues is90.0%, obviously higherthan that in adjacent tissues,10.0%, and there is a distinct difference between them (p<0.01).III. The relation of MMP-9’s expression and the clinic pathologic feature of gastriccancer χ2test shows that MMP-9expression is obviously related to depth of invasion, lymphatic metastasis and TNM-staging, and has no relation with gender, age anddifferentiated degree of tissues (P>0.05).IV. The relation of Survivin’s expression and the clinic pathologic feature of gastriccancerThe expression of Survivin in gastric cancer has no relation with gender, age, differentiated degree of tissues, and depth of invasion (P>0.05); and is obviouslyrelated to lymphatic metastasis and TNM-staging (p<0.01).V. The relation of the expressions of MMP-9and Survivin in gastric cancerThe expressions of MMP-9and Survivin in gastric cancer have positive correlation(r=0.411,P=0.00,P<0.01).【Conclusion】:I. MMP-9and Survivin show high expression in gastric cancer tissues and playimportant roles in the production of development of gastric cancer.II. The abnormal expression of Survivin in gastric cancer tissues is obviously related tolymphatic metastasis and clinic TNM-staging.III. The abnormal expression of MMP-9in gastric cancer tissues is obviously related tothe depth of invasion of tumour, lymphatic metastasis and clinic TNM-staging.IV. The expressions of MMP-9and Survivin in gastric cancer have positive correlation.
