| Objective:TO compare the clinical curative effect of patients with upper limb edema after breast cancer between treatment group (oral use of invigorating the spleen to dampness added functional exercise) and control group (functional exercise added physical therapy) in clinically random and open method. The clinic effect of invigorating the spleen to dampness Chinese herbs was elevated in order to seek a new reasonable treatment.Method:The58breast cancer patients were randomly divided into treatment group including30cases and control group including28cases according to the visit sequence. The treatment group was treated with the invigorating the spleen and dampness Chinese medicine added functional exercise, and the control group was treated with features exercise added physiotherapy. The patients’limb circumference change score, improvement of subjective symptoms,quality of life, functional recovery, and symptoms promotion were recorded before and after treatment.Results:58cases of this research were included in the case, and all completed well.1.The life quality was obviously improved in treatment group (P<0.05),but the control group had little changed(P>0.05).2.The improvement of subjective symptoms was obviously improved in treatment group (P<0.05),but the control group had little changed(P>0.05).3.The effect of treatment group on improving the swelling of injured extremity was significantly better than control group(P<0.05).4.The function of upper limb in treatment group recoverd obviously better than control group(P<0.05).5.The difference between the TCM syptom improvement of two groups thenselves was significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The function of invigorating the spleen and dampness Chinese medicine is to improve the spleen-stomach function, strength, reduce the affected side upper limb swelling, pain and dysfunction through strengthening the spleen and replenishing Qi. And the patients’life quality was improved. Oral Invigorating the spleen and dampness Chinese herbs is a simple and very effective therapy for clinical application and promotion. |
