It is generally known that obesity is a major public health threat worldwide, linkedto diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and other health problems in today’ssociety. That means better lipid lowering drugs and food are badly needed Cyclocaryapaliurus(Batal.)Iljinska is known as “Magic Tea” has been found with significanthypolipidemic effect. This study was conducted to investigate the hypolipemic effect ofthe different components, extraction and purification from Cyclocarya paliurus (Batal.)Iljinska. The mRNA expressions of CAP, ATGL and HMG-CoA were investigated byQ-PCR to explore the effect of Cyclocarya paliurus (Batal.) Iljinska polysaccharidecomponents in3T3-L1Adipocyte. The protein expressions of FTO, ATGL andHMG-CoA were investigated by western-blot to explore the effect of Cyclocaryapaliurus (Batal.) Iljinska polysaccharide components in3T3-L1Adipocyte. The resultsshowed as follows:(1)The effect of Cyclocarya paliurus (Batal.) Iljinska polysaccharide componentson the proliferation and differentiation of the3T3-L1Adipocyte was determined by Oilred O staining showed that, Cyclocarya paliurus (Batal.) Iljinska polysaccharidecomponents coud less to promote the proliferation of3T3-L1preadipocyte.(2)From the result of gene expression, the Cyclocarya paliurus (Batal.) Iljinskapolysaccharide components could significantly increase CAP mRNA activities whenaffecting four days, the Cyclocarya paliurus (Batal.) Iljinska polysaccharide componentⅠandⅡcould significantly increase ATGL mRNA activities, besides the Cyclocaryapaliurus (Batal.) Iljinska polysaccharide componentⅢandⅣcould significantly increaseATGL mRNA activities when affecting eight days, the Cyclocarya paliurus (Batal.)Iljinska polysaccharide componentⅠcould significantly decrease HMG-CoA mRNAactivities and the rest of components could decrease HMG-CoA mRNA activities whenaffecting four days.(3)From the result of protein expression,the Cyclocarya paliurus (Batal.) Iljinskapolysaccharide componentⅠcould significantly decrease FTO protein expression whenaffecting four days,besides componentⅠandⅢcould significantly decrease FTO proteinactivities when affecting eight days, the Cyclocarya paliurus (Batal.) Iljinskapolysaccharide components could significantly increase the protein expression of ATGL,and decrease the protein expression of HMG-CoA when the treated time prolong.However, the Cyclocarya paliurus (Batal) Iljinska polysaccharide components improvedthe protein expression of HMG-CoA in3T3-L1preadipocyte.
