Objective: Through the testing on PTEN gene expression in gastric mucosa indifferent TCM syndromes of PLGC, to investigate the pertinence between thedifferent TCM syndromes and PTEN gene. Methods: There are four groups, namely as group of spleen deficiency and qistagnation; group of heat caused by yin deficiency; group of static blood in stomachcollaterals and healthy control group which is consist of26healthy persons. Six freshgastric mucosa tissues were selected (each two tissues of sinuses ventriculi, gastricangle and corpus ventriculi), by immunohisto chemical staining, and PTEN geneexpression were observed. Results: The positive rates of PTEN gene expression in different groupsare:85.71%in group of spleen deficiency and qi stagnation;41.30%in group of heatcaused by yin deficiency;23.08%in group of static blood in stomach collaterals;96.16%in healthy control group.32.07%,28.30%,24.53%,15.09%,in IntestinalMetaplasiaⅠ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ and dysplasia. Conclusion: The PTEN gene expression in gastric mucosa tissues is pertinent tothe pathological types of precancerous lesions of gastric cancer and has statisticalsignificance in different TCM syndromes of PLGC, which will provide basis for theobjective research of different TCM syndromes of PLGC.
