The German professor proposed the new concept of completemesocolic excision firstly in2009,now more and more surgeons accept theconcept of CME and implement CME gradually. CME may become thestandardized surgery of colon cancer. In order to understand the CMEsurgical principles properly and implement CME better,surgeons must befamiliar with the colonic embryonic development and mesocolon anatomy、colonic vascular anatomy variability and lymphatic drainage and dissectionof colon cancer. To investigate the significance of the colonic vascularanatomy variation and lymphatic drainage and dissection of colon cancer inCME, the study collected and reviewed both domestic and foreign relatedliterature.
