Objection:To investigate the clinical differences between Hashimoto’s thyroiditiscombined papillary thyroid carcinoma with papillary thyroid carcinoma.Material and Methods:We retrospectively analyzed427cases of solitary papillarythyroid carcinoma that received surgical treatment and the results were pathologicallyconfirmed as well in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University fromJanuary1,2008to January1,2013.35of the total cases were Hashimoto’s thyroiditiscombined papillary thyroid carcinoma,15of the total cases were primaryhyperthyroidism combined papillary thyroid carcinoma and377cases were papillarythyroid carcinoma. Retrospective analysis between papillary thyroid carcinomacombined papillary thyroid carcinoma group(Group A) with papillary thyroid carcinomagroup(Group B) in clinical manifestation, gender, age, ultrasonographic manifestation, clinical stage, lymph node metastasis and prognosis. The two sets of data wasprocesssed by SPSS20.0Chinese statistical software. Results: clinical manifestation:in group A,there were29cases with thyroid mass,28cases with goiter,24cases with neck compression symptoms,31cases with neck pain,34cases with hoarseness,and33cases with dysphagia;in group B,there were304caseswith thyroid mass,369cases with goiter,143cases with neck compressionsymptoms,341cases with neck pain,369cases with hoarseness,and373cases withdysphagia. There were more cases with goiter and neck pain in group A than that ingroup B,and the difference was significant statistically. When compared other symptomsbetween the two groups, there was no significant statistical significance. The differencebetween the two groups in gender, age, clinical stage, prognosis and lymph nodemetastasis is statistically significant(P<0.05),but there is no significant difference inCarcinoma node in terms of shape, boundary, size, calcification in carcinoma node andCDFI(P>0.05). Conclusion: Compared with PTC, there were more cases with goiter and neckcompression in HT combined PTC which was more likely to happen in young andmiddle-aged women patients. It also had the characteristics that earlier clinical stage, lymph node metastasis late and a good prognosis. When treat HT combined PTC,wechoose the comprehensive treatment in which surgery is the main method.
