Objective:To elucidate its relationship with different age, gender, tumor stages, differentiation, portal vein tumor embolus, tumor number and size, we analyzed the expression of TRPM6in Primary Hepatocellular Carcinoma by means of immunohistochemistry.Methods:1. Tissue samples were collected from58patients with Primary Hepatocellular Carcinoma who underwent hepatectomy between February2008to February2012at the Department of Surgery, Xiangya2nd Hospital, Central South University;2. Sorting out all clinical information of liver cancer, including histological type and differentiation, age, gender, tumor size and number, portal vein tumor embolus, et al;3. Detecting the expression of TRPM6by immunohistochemistry, and analyzing the correlations between it and clinicopathologic parameters, such as the tumor cell differentiation, portal vein tumor embolus;4. All datas were analyzed by SPSS17.0for windows software package, rate were analyzed with χ2test, Fisher’s exact method and the Spearman.Results:1. Immunohistochemistry studies showed that the expression of TRPM6was observed in tumor tissues and non-tumor tissues, and TRPM6located in cytoplasm;2. High expression of TRPM6in high differentiation tumor tissues, expression of TRPM6decreasing with tumor tissues differentiation reducing;3. A negative correlation between TRPM6expression and clinicopathological parameters.Conclusions:1. TRPM6may be involved in the differentiation of Primary Hepatocellular Carcinoma2. TRPM6may play roles in hepatocarcinogenesis and tumor cell differentiation;.
