Lots of college students are going to graduate in this summer. At the same time, finding a job is an important and urgent topic for them. Applying for a job and recruiting for a position are related to each other. The study of the recruiting decision making process is a good reference to colleague students. Current research on recruiting decision making mainly focus on some variables that will affect this process and few will study the mechanism of the decision making in an implicit way and few purely focus on campus recruitment process. That is what we want to study in the paper. This paper consisted of three parts. The first part mainly reviewed the definition and theory as well as relevant research on recruitment and decision making, then would came to the topic of this research. The second part was empirical study. In this study, information board was used to explore recruiters’cue preference and information processing mode when they recruit fresh graduate with fewer or more candidates and under high or low time pressure. The experiment was a2x2within subject design. The subjects were33people who work in HR department in various kinds of division. The result showed that:(1) moral qualities, sense of responsibilities and social practice were the top three cues that recruiters’consider;(2) attributes that were showed in information board experiment were not completely the same as those were directly given by subjective evaluation;(3) time pressure and the number of candidates affected the mode of information processing; when time pressure was high and with more candidates, the subjects tended to use a heuristic searching process based on the bounded rationality;(4) the choice satisfaction would not increase with more candidates, neither with less time pressure. In the end, the whole study was previewed and the practical values were stated. The deficiency and future research expectation in this area were figured out.
