Translation Report Of The Anorexia Workbook

This report bases its analyses on translation of chapter seven of The AnorexiaWorkbook which introduces a mental method named the ACT to teach readers how tocombat with anorexia. The workbook, with scientific English characters and colloquialstyle, is translated mainly by using literal translating method.This report firstly describes the background, goals and values of the translation.Then the original chapter is analyzed from its linguistic characters and colloquial style.General process of the translation is depicted. And this report presents case studies fromvocabulary, sentences and discourse analyses and offers corresponding solutions. At last,it comes with a summary and a conclusion that literal translating method should bemuch frequently utilized in scientific English translation.
