Abstract/Summary:
In literature translation, the translator always has to find ways to overcome the contradictions between solving the cultural differences between Chinese and English languages and retaining the original text style. In order to conquer such contradiction and keep loyal to the original text style, literal translation, literal translation plus notes and free translation are used in combination in the translation of Katharine Wang’s autobiographic novel-Been there, Done That.
