An Investigation Of Exercise In Business Chinese Readers And Basic Business Chinese

Under the guidance of the exercises design principles such as scientific,interesting and communicative, this paper uses the database analysis to investigate theexercises in Business Chinese Readers and Basic Business Chinese. With an analysisof the exercises in this two textbooks from three aspects——the exercises quantity,style and content, we draw the following conclusions:Firstly, the compiling ideas of this two textbooks are influenced by thecommunicative teaching method, they don’t encourage excessive exercise, and that’sthe reason why the exercise intensity of the two textbook are lower.Secondly, based on the investigation of the practice density, we found that thetwo textbooks are lack of Chinese character exercise. It’s mainly influenced by theChinese character teaching mode with the ideas of Chinese and Chinese charactersshould be separated in Chinese learning. This mode also persist in separating thewriting ability and reading ability.Thirdly, some exercises in this two textbooks are lack of interesting.Fourthly,some exercises in this two textbooks are lack of scientific.Finally,this two textbooks are well embodied the requirements of communicativeprinciple，and the Business Chinese Readers performed better on this principle.
