The textbook is one of the three principal parts of teaching activities,which is of high importance in teaching process.In the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,the textbook as the basis for its teaching and testing,which plays an extremely important role.The elementary textbooks particularly as the introductory textbooks for Chinese learners,have a profound impact on the foundation of Chinese language and the study of Chinese in the future.And the exercise is a very important part of the textbook and it is the main means and method to test the knowledge of students and the teaching effect of teachers.The quality of exercise design has the most direct impact on the teaching effect,its quality can be investigated from many aspects,and mutual good combination in order to ensure the quality of exercise,no matter which is not in place,the effectiveness of the exercise will be greatly reduced.At present,the research in this field is still to be improved,so it is of great value to study and compare the exercise design in the elementary textbooks of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Considering the textbook categories,applicable scope,publication time and other issues,I choose three sets elementary comprehensive Chinese textbooks.They are?Learn Chinese with Me?the comprehensive book,?Our Chinese Classroom?elementary book and?New Concept Chinese?elementary edition,I compare the design practice,analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the three sets of textbooks in exercise,specifically from the following aspects :The first is the three sets of textbooks in how much the amount of exercises,to investigate whether the textbooks pay enough attention to amount of exercises,the total amount of exercise can meet the needs of both teachers and students,whether the amount of the distribution is balanced,how is the intensity and etc.The second is whether the exercises are rich and varied,with the main types of textbooks and secondary questions is scientific and reasonable,what kind of questions is conducive to student,the types design can arouse the interest of students,these problems play a very important role in students' learning effect.The third is the practice content,respectively the three sets of teaching materials,language knowledge and language skills in the practice of the two aspects of theinvestigation,not just confined to the voice,vocabulary,grammar and other language elements.To investigate whether the textbook are in accordance with the characteristics of the comprehensive textbooks,whether the knowledge and skills can be learned synthetically.According to the above,I design a questionnaire to test what kind of exercise are more popular with learners.The learners who have completed primary Chinese level learning are those who have been investigated.I combine my analysis,previous research experience with the results of the questionnaire analysis,propose the specific proposals and suggestions for the compose of textbooks,in order to provide some references for the preparation of elementary comprehensive Chinese textbooks,and cause more scholars to focus on this field of foreign language teaching.Better for learners to master Chinese.Looking forward to the future of teaching Chinese as a foreign language to a more brilliant future!...
