Several Tendencies Of Lao She’s Early Novels And Its Causes

The reason for Lao she have the unique and valuable position in the history ofChinese’s modern literature is that he was the first writer to introduce the citizen’ fate,thoughts and psychology through the literature in the procedure of Chinese modern socialchange, and have gained huge achievements. His early three novels have focused on theculture, described all kinds of things which were happened in the world, and put the trueand secular into one that has attracted many readers apart from the intellectual for themodern literature. This thesis aims to review the tendencies of three novels which werewritten in the early time, analysis the main reasons of its formation and the influence onthe later creation. Then, the author focuses on the function of the three novels for LaoShe in the history of literature.This thesis consists of four parts; the details are showed in the following:In the introduction part, it mainly introduces the background of the early novels andthe significance of this study.The second part is the body part. It can be subdivided into three sections. In the firstsection, the author analysis the reasons of the early three novels to choose the citizen’slife as object. And also shows its influence on the history of literature for the writer to thereader. What’s more, the author explains the three novels’ significance for the futurecreation in the modern history of literature. In the second section, it mainly contains thefollowing parts: the formation of consciousness tendency of satire and criticism for theearly three novels, the main objects of satirical criticism and the content, and therelationship between the consciousness tendency and the ideology of general anti-imperialist and anti-feudal in the history of modern literature.The third section is mainly analysis the reasons for the formation of the art tendencyin the humor and satire of the early novels. Its characteristics and function of the humorand satire in the works also be introduced.The conclusion part makes a brief summary for the whole essay and points out itsinfluence on the history of literature for the writer’s future creation.This paper adopts the approach of social-history criticism to analysis Lao She’s earlythree novels and shows the author’s creative views and conclusions.
