A Study Of The Early Wisdom Phenomenon And Its Concept In The Pre-Qin And Han Dynasties

The early wisdom phenomenon usually refers to the extraordinary performance of children or adolescents in mind and behavior,it was a very important phenomenon in ancient China,which often reflected in the political,military,diplomatic,intellectual,moral,speech and many other aspects.This paper explores the implicit conceptual vicissitude in the change of early wisdom through related historical data.From Pre-Qin to early Han Dynasty,wars between nations continued,which made the society valued talent and force with practical function and highlighted the practical performance in the early wisdom narrative as well.After the promotion of Confucianism by Emperor Wu in Han Dynasty,the social ethos was turned from advocating force to learning literature.Knowledge and morality,which in line with Confucian aesthetic,finally became a new evaluation standard.At the same time,the Confucian concept of talent and character also influenced the understanding and history writing of ancient saints,and made it became a special example in the tradition of early wisdom narrative.With the rigidity of Confucian classics and political turmoil at the end of the Han Dynasty,people's introspection of life promoted the awakening of individual consciousness,as a result,the appreciation of children's external manifestation was turned to their inner quality,such as ability of memorizing,understanding and speaking,which made a full preparation for the explosion of diverse clever children narrative in Wei and Jin Dynasty.
