Research On The Localization Of The Western Feminist Literary Theory In China

Since the1920s, Western feminist criticism came into China and it had greatinfluence among China, which of course contains the original essence of the existence.However, it is undeniable that during the spread process it has collision with Chinesehistory and culture. With the restriction of local women and the psychological influenceand knowledge structure of the translator, this mode has taken great place and hasimmerged new dynamisms. In this way, the Chinese feminism and western originalfeminist are quite different. This paper explores the mode of criticism in China after entry,and the localization process of it in China.Through the historical background, cultural ideology, academic background,threereasons in specific analysis, interpretation that Western feminist theory in China must belocalization, only if adapted to their own national theory, it can play moreeffective role in our future research. Of course, the development of feminism is notsmoothly, in the process of localization in China, the theory of critics will continue to useits creative transformation, especially to carry on the practice of criticism and literarycreation, which makes western feminist theory is gradually evolved as an adaptation toChinese feminist theory. While the Western feminist studies can help us to comprehendthe localization of Chinese contemporary literary criticism and literary creation changeand dynamic, it is also important to sum up the foreign literature and cultural of historyexperience.
