Influence Research On Xu Kun’s Feminist Literary Criticizing And Writing

In 1990 s,Xu Kun began her career of literature creation as a scholar and writer.She explored the confusions and pains that women faced in the process of achieving spiritual independence,and the difficulties and helplessness in fighting for equal rights to speak.Xu Kun fights for women’s discourse sovereignty under the culture of masculism,and then construct women’s own discourse system.This paper conducts research on Xu Kun’s feminist literary criticizing and writing from the feminist perspective,exploring the cultural value and practical significance of her criticism theory and writing.This paper includes three parts,the introduction,body and the conclusion.The introduction mainly introduces the current situation of academic research on Xu Kun’s novel and emphasis the significance of this thesis.The first chapter explores the acceptance of feminist theories by Chinese scholars and women writers in the new era.For Chinese academic circles,they accept western feminism theory from feminism to gender poetics.For female writers,they gone through the process from rejection and identification to localization.The second chapter discusses the feminist discourse in Xu Kun’s novels,and interprets them from the four aspects including love,workplace,family,and sexual behaviour,and then explores how she writes about the psychological dilemma and spiritual outlets for women,the contradiction of women’s self-identity,women’s “sexual revolution” under “sexual politics”,“inter-sex harmony” and “male care”.The third chapter discusses the feminist narrative strategies in Xu Kun ’ s novels.It analyses the feminist cultural value of Xu Kun ’ s narrative strategies based on the interpretation from the perspectives of parody,dual perspectives,and enclosed spaces.The contained feminine consciousness and standpoint is also explored in this chapter.The fourth chapter explores the connotation of Xu Kun ’s feminist criticism,mainly analysing Xu Kun’s two theoretical works,"Boat Rowing in the Night-Female Writing in the1990s" and "Crazy Women in Literature: The Evolution of Women’s Writing in Twentieth Century China ".The three characteristics of Xu Kun ’s feminist criticism reinterprets the image of women,exploring female literary creation traditions,fighting for women’s discourse sovereignty.The interactive relationship between feminist literature criticism and literary creation based on these characteristics.The conclusion discusses Xu Kun’s contribution to Chinese feminist literary criticism and female literary.On one hand,Xu Kun’s feminist criticism rectifies the name of female writers and their work and affirms the literary value and historical significance of "female writing".On the other hand,Xu Kun has an open attitude in the feminist novels writing and calls for equal communication,mutual understanding,and tolerance to manage a healthy relationship that people grow together.
