Research On Guide Language

In recent years, the language study of tour guide has made remarkable achievements, mostly baesd on the aspect of text and rhetoric, pay little attention to Guide language’s register function research. Based on400thousands of words database of Guide laguage,we try to discover Guide language through the personal pronouns, formulaic language and discourse markers, and reveal the rules of Guide language.This paper is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction, mainly explains the research status at home and abroad of guide language, points out the research train of thought,research meaning, and research method of this article.The second part introduces the personal pronouns’ distribution characteristics of Guide language, combined with the Politeness principle to find selection mechanism of personal pronouns in Guide language.In the third part, we combined with actual Guide language to anwser an important question,that is,why Guide language has so many Formulaic language? We try to reveal the function and role of Formulaic language.The fourth part we discuss Discourse markers in Guide language. Through statistics Discourse markers frequency in the20thousands words of oral Guide language corpus, combined with the theory of Linguistic Adaptation reveal the functions of discourse markers in Guide language tendency.The fifth part summarizes the research results of this thesis, and points out the limitations of this research and future research.
