With the development of our society, the age of illustration art is undergoing a new life. The creation and the way of its spread have been changed greatly and the illustration’s artistic connotation and denotation are constantly expanding, its unique artistic charm makes it be widely used in almost every field of design and play the indispensable important role of human being’s life.At the same time, along with the ceaseless rise of modern people’s living standard and the rich content of life, the requirements for textile design becomes higher and higher. Children’s textile design is an important part of the textile design, it directly affects children’s psychology, physiology, aesthetic tendency and any other things concerning the healthy growth of children.How to enter the children’s world and how to design the products which children want put forward some higher and stricter requirements for the designers.Now, illustration art has become the important inspiration of children’s textile design, the author collected a large number of graphic data to analyze the present situation of children’s textile pattern design, the author also pays great attention to learning the design of the art of illustrations for children and look for successful cases of textile design. At the same time, on the basis of a large number of questionnaire and on-the-spot investigations, we discuss the inner relation between illustration art and children textile design. By analyzing the children’s real psychological need, we try to discuss how to give this unique art a more reasonable apply in children of textile design and summarize the principle and the way of application in children’s illustration art, so we can provide theoretical reference and guidance for children textile design, and we also hope to make some contributions to the healthy growth of children.
