This thesis studies the Oboo Festival in Plain and Bordered White Banner in XiLingol Leaguein of Inner Mongolia, on the basis of field investigation and the.previous researches, the author of this thesis mainly analyzes the customs, evolution and the reasons behind the evolution of Oboo Festival.The thesis consists of introduction, three body chapters, conclusion and reference.The introduction, includes the overall introduction to the research survey, the purpose of choosing this topic and the research methods.The first chapter is about the overall situation of Plain and Bordered White Banner, mainly about the historical evolution, geography, population and the administrative division of this banner.The second chapter is about the historical development of the Oboo Festival. It is divided into two parts so as to elaborate the Oboo Festival, namely, Oboo Festival in the early period and at the present period. At the same time, the author has discussed the very62Oboo to evaluate the customs of the Oboo Festival.The third chapter is mainly about the customs of the Oboo Festival, and also discussed the evolution and it’s reasons. There are the customs. of building the Oboo, the custom of preparation of the Festival, and the custom and etiquette of the Oboo Festival.In conclusion, the author has summarized that the evolution of the Oboo Festival is developed with the people’s awareness and ponderation of the value derived from traditional culture as well as grassland ecology.
