Abstract:Research in Chahar eight banners during Qing Dynasty is one of the important research subjects, and there many issues remains unsolved. Based on previous researches, the thesis consults government and private historical books like Qing Dynasty National Chorography and Koubei Three Halls’Record to analyze and studies several issues on nomadic area of Chahar Left Plain-white Banner and Bordered-white Banner, including issues on division of Chahar eight banners, Boerni Event effect, and border variation of Chahar eight banners’before and after the year of 1675And additionally the research adjusts some uncertain points and incorrect discussions from historical materials and previous studies, and also investigates some particular places name.The thesis consists of three parts, namely introduction, main body, and conclusion. Introduction part includes the source of research object, research status, research purpose, and historical references. Body part of thesis is composed of three chapters. The first chapter briefly discusses situation of Charhar eight banners before the year of 1675; the second chapter states migration of Charhar eight banners and situation of Left banners’; third chapter mainly ascertains nomadic areas of Chahar Left Plain-white Banner and Bordered-white Banner and as well as names of some particular places within frontier of two banners. Conclusion part summarizes the content of whole paper, and further explores the historical root of frontier variation of Charhar eight banners during Qing Dynasty period.
