Abstract/Summary:
The cultural connotation of a post’er design reflects a nations social’environment and the formation the nations cultural psychology features.Most of all, traditional culture is an unparalleled one in the world culture. It isa very precious heritage for the nation. Different times has different kind ofcultural forms and aesthetic consciousness and human beings have beenmoving forward step by step over the long history. When we are appreciating’’a pre-designers work, we usually have a special feeling, which is the nationsthought and cultural accumulation.In poster design, cultural connotation plays a role of carrying forward anation and inheriting its tradition. The cultural connotation in a post design’embodies the culture of a nation, which narrates the nations stories and talesby a special visual ideology. For a nation, a poster design, by constructing a’nations visual system from different perspectives, is not just a formalrepresentation, but becomes an indivisible part to understand a nation by otherpeoples in the world. Culture usually plays an important part for the survivingor perishing of a nation. Being lack of cultural connotation in Chinese posterdesigns, they are not known by other nations in the world. During the courseof cultural development, cultural inheriting has been looked as the duty ofmankind. In the designing of posters, the visual expression of posters can beanalyzed from the relationship between visual theoretical method and culture.A systematically structural castle thus is based on the visual elements andcultural connotations. It is not a successful poster design if it just presentssome colorful visual figures and pictures but neglects the specialty of aculture being exist.We usually like imaginary languages, as images can make us receiveinformation. The transmission of information can not do without the livingenvironment. The cultural connotation in poster designs, which embodies the long experience of era evolution and social conversion, is not static andunaffected, but is the result of developing, converting and accumulating.The cultural connotation in poster designs is not abstract, but is the concrete’expression effecting by a nations culture and visual culture. Culture symbolsthe progress of civilization and cultural connotation plays a very importantrole in the originating and developing of poster designs. In modern society,the visual forms in poster designs becomes tanglesome and diversified, butcultural connotation is the only standard to measure whether a poster design isa good one.
