A Comparative Study Of Poster Design In The Context Of Chinese And Western Culture

Context,that is,linguistic environment,belongs to the category of linguistics,and is gradually applied to various disciplines because of the close relationship between language and various disciplines.As a part of context,cultural context includes subjective and objective factors such as geographical location,historical development,psychological background,cultural background and so on.Poster design has a very important position in the field of design,not only the artistic function,its political function,the economic function and the cultural function has the vital function for a country’s development.If we want to improve the level of poster design in China,it is necessary to excavate and compare it deeply.Through the analysis and comparison of poster design in the context of Chinese and Western culture,we can probe into the specific reasons for the formation of the aesthetic and visual features of poster design.Firstly,through the collection of relevant materials,this paper simply expounds the relevant concepts of cultural context and poster design between China and the West,and summarizes the context and connotation of the development of poster design in the context of Chinese and Western culture through collation and induction.This paper compares the aesthetics of Chinese and western poster design from the four aspects which are aesthetic thought,aesthetic connotation,aesthetic appeal and aesthetic culture,and analyzes the performance of the unique aesthetic viewpoints formed by the influence of local cultural context on poster design;graphic and image elements,color connotations elements,and text symbols elements,and analyzes the characteristics of visual elements formed under the influence of its cultural context and its application in poster design.Through the comparative analysis of aesthetic and visual elements between China and the West,this paper draws the enlightenment of the development of poster design in contemporary China and the West.In the contemporary social environment,the development of poster design should pay attention to the integration of national culture,through the integration of traditional elements,inner artistic conception and cultural differences to achieve internationalization and national unity.We should pay more attention to the innovation of the design form.Through the diversification of visual form,the diversity of performance skills and the consensus of the expression content,the poster design can meet the increasing aesthetic needs of people.So that poster design in today’s social and cultural exchanges to get a better development.
