One The Study Of "Xie" Combination In Contemporary Chinese Language

The researches on the structure“Xle”in modern Chinese has graduallyboomed in recent years. This thesis looks into the specific cases“Haole”,“Xingle”,“Suanle”,“Dele”and“Bale”in“Xle”structure. It discusses about how theydistribute and how they perform from a synchronic perspective and the lexicalizationprocess in a diachrony, trying to find out how this structure grammaticalizes and thetriggers behind. It also makes analysis of the similarities and differences of “Xle” asdiscourse markers.Here are the five chapters as below::Chapter1talks about the aim and significance of this thesis, summarizes therelevant researches in domestic and overseas and introduces the theoreticalbackground and methodology.Chapter2makes a detailed analysis of the specific cases of “Haole”,“Xingle”,“Suanle”,“Dele”,“Bale” in their distribution and function in synchrony.Chapter3looks into the grammaticalization process of“Haole”,“Xingle”,“Suanle”,“Dele”, and“Bale”, aiming to draw the conclusion of the triggers andgrammaticalized mechanism of this “Xle” structure.Chapter4discusses how“Xle”structure is used as discourse markers,including the functions and the features. It also deals with the similarities anddifferences of this structure in interaction.The last chapter is the conclusion, summarizing the whole thesis and pointingout the existing problems.
