The Chinese Neutral Tone Research On Thai Students

Neutral tone is one of the characteristics,also altering phenomenon common of Chinese speech. Chinese as a second language learning neutral tone study and master is important for Chinese language learners in raise the level of Chinese, especially in oral expression. Many Chinese learners in the solution of the basic problems in phonology, advanced Chinese level stage, softly and mastery of nature by still green, is not only the reduced forms, the most common neutral-tone words are often misread as the original tune, or tone is not natural. This phenomenon is widespread in the foreign students studying in China, Thailand students are no exception. This paper use the Mi-Ni-Speech-Lab and combining mathematical analysis,40disyllable neutral-tone words for Thailand students whose Chinese level in HSK4,HSK5and HSK6.The thesis consists of four chapters:The first chapter, introduction. Introduces the background, reasons, significance, status, ideas, methods of research, and the experimental steps and the use of software are introduced.The second chapter, the experimental results. Combination of listening and experimental research, from two aspects of duration, pitch, the students in the four tone+neutral-tone words in the experimental data obtained through tables, bar charts, line charts analysis, objective, and the analysis and summary. At the same time, the experimental results of the fundamental picture attached, for readers to check, reference.The third chapter, analysis of the causes of. Discussed and analyzed from the three aspects of the Thailand students in the errors of the neutral tone of internal and external causes.The fourth chapter, conclusion. Based on the experimental results, the strategies for the study of the neutral tone teaching of future Chinese international education, and summarizes the problems of this experiment failed to resolve the difficulties and research, but also prepared for future study to achieve goals.
