As a kind of special phenomenon of tonal change,Chinese neutral tone is often used in our daily communication,and is one of the main standards of measuring Putonghua proficiency.We find that Japanese students have some problems in the pronunciation of neutral tone.At present,the research on Japanese students’ pronunciation problem mostly conduct a comprehensive study of consonants,vowels and tones from a macro perspective.But the research on the topic of neutral tone has only a small number.Therefore,this paper performs an acoustic analysis of disyllabic neutral tone by Japanese students,using the method of experimental phonetics analysis.There are mainly five parts:The first part:introduction.This part firstly makes it clear that the neutral tone teaching attaches great importance to TCFL.Then,summarize the research results and research status quo regarding Chinese neutral tone.Thirdly,on the basis of integrated study achievements from previous people,we ascertain this paper’s research contents and methods.Finally,we give a brief introduction about the experiment,including experiment objects,experimental materials,recording environment,data extraction and processing.The second part:duration analysis of neutral tone.This part analyzes duration features of Japanese students acquiring Chinese neutral tone.Firstly,we study the overall situation of duration.Then,we study specific situation of duration,according to the combination of the four tones.By comparing with the duration situation of Chinese students,to find out duration errors occurred when Japanese students learning Chinese neutral tone.The third part:pitch analysis of neutral tone.According to the combination of the four tones,we study pitch situation of neutral tone,mainly from three aspects,tone pattern,tone range and starting pitch.In order to find out pitch errors occurred when Japanese students learning Chinese neutral tone.The fourth part:errors cause analysis.In this part,we,from negative transfer of mother tongue,the impact of context and teaching,make a specific analysis of causes of errors Japanese students make when they acquire Chinese neutral tone.The fifth part:teaching revelation.In this part,some suggestions are put forward for the teaching of neutral tone in the future.
