The Chinese Neutral tone has always been the difficult and important point in the procedure of Chinese phonetic teaching and learning, and it is very difficult for the Sudanese Chinese learners to master the Chinese neutral tone. According to the research, there are two main reasons: The first is the Sudanese learner's native language is Arabic, and their second language is English. Those languages have no tone in the syllables, Let alone the similar and special phenomenon——sound change of tone. The second is the word with neutral tone has no fixed tone value to be remembered, accordingly, it brought great trouble to the non-native Chinese learners.So it is very necessary to research the Sudanese students' acquisition of Chinese neutral tone.This paper consists of six chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, it is about the background of the selected topic, the analysis of the domestic and foreign research status quo of the words with neutral tones, the purpose and significance of the theme, as the same time,the research contents, research methods and objects of this article have been described. The second chapter is the analysis about the Sudanese learners' tone value, pitch, pitch range and type in the combination of four tones and neutral tone. Besides, the result of the analysis is portrayed. The third chapter is the comparing analysis of the time length for the syllables of the combination of four tones and neutral tone. The fourth chapter combines a questionnaire to explore the factors that result the e Sudanese learners' errors in the neutral tones. The fifth chapter on the basis of the above chapters mainly puts forward the practical strategies,methods and problems that should be concerned in the learning and teaching of the neutral tone in teaching Chinese as second language.
