The Typography Design Research Of The Books And Periodicals In The Period Of The Republic Of China

This is a research on the typography design of the books and periodicals in the period ofthe Republic of China. There will be Meishuzi on books and periodicals, Shanghai yuefenbrand poster and outdoor billboards, etc, as long as words are needed. Republic is the specialperiod lied in the intersection of the east-west and ancient-today. Factors such as thedevelopment of printing, the change of bookbinding design and the western art style, maketypography design of this period present a variety of styles. Judging from the creative ideasand the level of design, the typography design of the books and periodicals is representative.The study can be used as a way to cognize rough type of the modern Meishuzi of the Republicof China, but also a perspective to further understand the problem of books binding design ofthe Republic of China.This article firstly discusses the related concepts and the important role of the typographydesign and then analyzes the development of the typography design of the books andperiodicals in the period of the Republic of China, including the overview of the backgroundduring the period of the republic of China, the development background of the typographydesign of the books and periodicals in the period of the Republic of China and the foreigninfluence factors. Then the typography design of the books and periodicals in the period of theRepublic of China are classified, sort, filter a large number of books and periodicals designscollected and then classified, meaningful combing.for the typography design of books andperiodicals during the period of the republic of China. They are classified into three: Meishuzihaving the characteristics of Chinese traditional calligraphy, Meishuzi closing to the print fontand Meishuzi closing to the western typography design. On the basis of classification oftypography design, writer summarizes several features of the typography design of books andperiodicals during the period of the republic of China: rich variety of order forms of title;diversification of typography types; the variable of front stroke; stable structure and so on. Atlast, the artical elaborates the value of the typography design of the books and periodicals inthe period of the Republic of China and revelation for the contemporary typography design.In this paper, the typography design woks of the books and periodicals in the period ofthe Republic of China are combed, which makes good character design of the republic ofChina as a scenery back into the line of sight of people. The research of the typography designof books and periodicals also can be used as a cognition of modern Meishuzi s rough type.
