Intercultural communication is an important part of communication studies. Its researchcontent includes different culture background of communication between individuals, groupsor organizations. And intercultural adaptation is the basis of cross-cultural communication. Itfocuses on people how to change the original cognition, behavior, regulate their emotion,adapting to the new cultural and social environment, and effectively implement propagationbehavior. Therefore, intercultural adaptation is an important part in the study of interculturalcommunication.As the promotion of Chinese teachers and volunteers program, the expatriate Chineseteachers and volunteers are increasing year by year. And the in-depth research of Interculturaladaptation about Chinese volunteers in Thailand could be found in China and overseas.On the basis of previous studies in Thailand’s Chinese volunteers, this paper choosegender, age, level of Thai, working hours in Thailand, volunteers participated incross-cultural training as the explanatory variables. And emotion regulation in Interculturaladaptation is the explanatory variables. This paper is directed in Empirical research. And ittries to find out emotional regulation of Chinese volunteers in Thailand.Through the analysis of these factors on the Chinese volunteers, we could know howthey use emotional regulation to understand and accept other cultures, adapting the localteaching and living. Finally, this paper gives some suggestion on the emotion regulation ofChinese volunteer in Thailand about how to improve Intercultural adaptability. The Chinesevolunteer management agencies could pay more attention on the critical period of thevolunteers’ emotion regulation, stimulating the potential for adaptation of the Chinesevolunteers. With the improvement of the training system, Chinese volunteers could get betterassist to adapt the working and living environment of Thailand.
