Historical relic has epochal character, different historical relic reflects live aspects in different periods. This paper collects Han and Tang dynasty musical relic in southeastern of Shanxi province, aims to finding more feature about this area.From late1970s, under the proposing of famous musician Lvji and Huangxiangpeng, after many years field survey, analyses and research,<Chinese musical relic collection> was published by the help from Chinese national academy arts, Chinese academy of social sciences archaeological research institute, Chinese national relics bureau, and many musicians, archaeologists and other exports. This book is a anthology about music relics, it not only covers the shortage of music literature, but also provides precious material objects for music history, musical instruments history and temperament, it also can tell the true and false of historical data.This paper consults<Chinese musical relic collection--Shanxi aspect>. First, this paper bases on this book, collecting more music relics in Han and Tang dynasty in this area, and replenishing<Chinese musical relic collection--Shanxi aspect>. Second, putting the music relics into specifically period time to discuss and research the music culture in this area. Finally, discussing problems based on these music relics.The music relics in southeastern part of Shanxi province mainly are gigaku statues and wall paintings. These relics not only show the mixture of Han nationality and other ethnic minorities, but also show the music culture mixture of western and eastern. At Han dynasty, the coming of Buddhism deeply influenced local music culture. These all music relics have relationship with religion. This paper does not research Han and Tang dynasty music relics from archaeological view; it aims to discuss the social culture from the music. In the research process, the author uses research methods from sociology, music document, music photography, music archaeology, etc.
