To explore the situation on resilience and subjective well-being of Left-Behind Children.With the Resilience Scale for Chinese Adolescents and the index of well-being,as a screening tool,Intervention for left-behind children was provided The influence of the group counseling based on positive psychology on left-behind children’s resilience and well-being was tested.Objectives:To explore a group counseling strategy in the intervention of left-behind children’s resilience and well-being.The effect of the group counseling based on positive psychology on left-behind children’s resilience and well-being was tested.The result can provide a basis of how to improve resilience and well-being.Methods:Experimental Intervention Method:On a voluntary basis,60lower scores left-behind children were chosen to participate in group counseling by the way of quasi experimental design.They were divided into two groups:the experimental group and a comparison group.Ten group counseling activities were conducted on the experimental group,while no group counseling activities were done on the comparison group. Then we tested the two groups separately two times:before the experiment,and after the group counseling.According to comparison between the two groups,the validity is examined.Results:Before intervening,there were not significance of pretest between the experimental group and a comparison group.Goal planning(t=1.85, P>0.05), feeling-control (t=0.14, P>0.05),positive thinking(t=1.44,P>0.05),family support(t=-0.12,P>0.05),interpersonal assistance(t=1.33, P>0.05),resilience(t=1.55,P>0.05),and Subjective Well-being(t=-0.93, P>0.05).After intervening,①There was not a striking difference between pretest and post-test on controlled group.Goal planning(t=-1.92,P>0.05), feeling-control(t=-1.15, P>0.05),positive thinking(t=-1.40,P>0.05),family support(t=-1.46,P>0.05),interpersonal assistance(t=-0.49,P>0.05),resilience(t=-1.75,P>0.05)and Subjective Well-being(t=-1.65, P>0.05).②There were significant differences between pretest and post-test on experimental group.Goal planning(t=-2.13,P<0.05),feeling-control (t=-2.42,P<0.05), positive thinking(t=-2.08,P<0.05),family support(t=-2.01.,P>0.05),interpersonal assistance(t=-2.35,P<0.05),resilience(t=-2.15,P<0.05)and Subjective Well-being(t=-2.48, P<0.05).Conclusion Group intervention of positive psychology has much effect on Resilience and Subjective Well-being.Conclusion:The result shows that the group counseling based on positive psychology has a remarkably effect to improve their resilience and subjective well-being of lower left-behind children.As well,left-behind children’s resilience and well-being can be improved by group counseling,the strategies are scientific and effective.
