An Indigenous Research About The Domestic Sitcom

Sitcom is an important type of drama, which was introduced from America in1993. The past two decades saw its rapid development in China. As an indigenous research about the domestic sitcom, this paper, based on extensive collection of material, analyses the artistic features, development course, localization characteristic, development predicament and future of sitcom, tries to explore the disadvantage and advantage of domestic sitcom against the America, examine the current dilemma, so as to explore a new way for the development of domestic sitcom. In summary, this paper aims to reveal the localization characteristic of domestic sitcom, offer theory reference for the development of domestic sitcom.
