This essay focuses on a newly raised tendency of composition, namely ensemble of same kind of instruments, which will be defined and induced in detail. Taking the series of folk and chamber music composed in this new form by Qin Wenchen as an typical example, features of this kind of musical works will be discussed and studied from perspective of collectivity structure and timber and sound as well.The whole passage will be developed in two chapters. Chapter1elaborates definition and classification of ensemble of same kind of instruments, and introduced works in this form by Qin Wenchen and other Chinese composers. Chapter2analyses folk and chamber music by Qin Wenchen, and discusses how the composer develops the whole work under highly integrated musical intonation in this form.This chapter is divided into2parts, and part1discusses features and structure of collectivity form, in which strichdicke, collectivity feature and notation methods are compare and contrast, as well as other texture forms.Part2concludes the way Qin Wenchen diverse timber and sound by controlling tension of timber under the limitation of single tone,from the perspective of found of sound source, contrast of timber and sound spaciousness. At last, the essay gives an induction of folk and chamber music composed by Qin Wenchen in ensemble of same kind of instruments.
