With the increasing development of international politics, economies, cultures,sciences and technologies exchanges, international connections and dialogues invarious fields have become more and more frequent and common. So role ofinterpreters in foreign exchanges stands out more and more importantly. Therefore, tostudy the interpretation work deserves to be analyzed love and researched. And howto accomplish the interpretation work better and improve the communications andexchanges in an all-around way are really deserved to be studied.Although there are some space for free show in interpreting, but theinterpretation work has its own requirements in quality, which must be met. Asinterpretation is challengeable and difficult, one should follow its rules. Especiallywithin objective subject laws, making use of the rules will improve the quality ofinterpretation. To find out the problems and summarize them, including solving themcan give a more practical, effective guidance to the interpretation work in future,meanwhile offering some reference to others‘interpretation study and work.The author of this thesis has participated in the project of―Training for theOfficials in Education of Developing Countries‖hosted by the Northeast NormalUniversity in2012, trying her best to interpret for Professor Yan Weigang, a doctoraltutor in policy-making for school systems, and director of the Policy Research Officeof Northeast Normal University (NENU). The name of the lecture is―Report onPolicies in Modern Universities Study‖.In the whole course, the author had kept adjusting to the objective interpretingconditions and accomplished the interpretation. Throughout the course of practice, sheaccumulated and summed up some experience. In transcription, she objectivelyanalyzed the statistics of her own mistakes and shortcomings, combined what she haslearned to study the solutions and strategies, and then solved the problem and alsosummed up the practical methods to finish this reflective report.The thesis is divided into the following five parts:The first part is a brief introduction of the background of the project and theinterpretation (in this thesis refers to the consecutive interpretation). The second partis about the factors that affect interpretation performance (including external factorsand internal factors). The third part is the overall performance of the interpreter,combined with the objective study of the transcription, including the summary of the unsatisfactory performance. The fourth part summarizes several strategies to improveinterpretation performance. The fifth part makes some conclusions and suggestionsfor interpretation.
