With the development of global economy, corporate culture has played a more andmore important role in the introduction and promotion of an enterprise. Whileaccording to the literature, the contract translation was the most common among thebusiness translation while translation of enterprise introduction and promotion took upa small percentage, let alone the percentage of this kind of translation which focusedon corporate culture. Text Type Theory, as we all know, is the most commonly usedtheory in this kind of translation. Analysis of text is so important that the translatormust have the text types of materials in mind from the very beginning of thetranslation. According to the research direction in post-graduate study and theaccumulation of knowledge, the translator selected and translated the most importantpart of the book The Rejuvenation of Tsingtao Brewery: the corporate culture. Thetranslation report mainly includes the following parts:The first part is the task description which mainly focuses on how the translatorchooses and translates the original text. The second part represents the characteristicsof the original text with respect to the content and language. The third part is thetranslation theory, Newmark’s Text Typology Theory and its application in thistranslation. The fourth part are the translation strategies, the main body of the wholereport. Firstly the translator describes the problems and solutions in the process oftranslation and then explains the translation strategies with respect to creativetranslation, clauses, discourse cohesion, writing style. In the fifth part the translatordescribes some problems that remain unsolved. Then the translator describes theexperience and lesson that translator learns from the translation. Compared with the previous translation and its corresponding report, the innovationof this report is the selection of original text which is hoped to be a beneficialreference.
