Culture teaching, as an indispensable course, plays an increasingly important role in TCSL. The key point of this thesis, which is also the question being discussed for long, is to explore the good methods to well-organized a culture course, simplify the classroom instruction, whereas at the meantime effectively demonstrate the information carried by Chinese, help the student with better and quicker understanding of Chinese culture, and enhance their language application skills.For now, culture teaching mainly focuses on foreign students with middle and high Chinese level. Those who are still at primary stage don’t have any chance to it. Most culture courses, characterized by its boring content, and monotonous teaching methods, have lost its attraction of students. By analyzing the folk art and traditional culture contained in Chinese traditional animation, we’ve studied the significance of the connection between culture teaching and traditional animation. Aiming at students with different level, we have designed several teaching modes with reference in teaching practice. With its various themes, rich national culture, simple languages, and vivid plots, Chinese traditional animation is appropriate to be applied as the teaching source to motivate foreign students towards Chinese culture. We hope this article may help.
