This report is based on the translation practice in China-ASEAN Business&Investment Summit (CABIS) hereafter. As the most influential summit of its kind among the business communities in the region, CABIS aims to push forward the high-level dialogues, promote economic and trade cooperation, facilitate the exchange among relevant parties, express the needs of the regional business community to the governments, thus playing an irreplaceable role in the all-round economic cooperation between China and ASEAN.The report consists of four parts:(1) the introduction, including the background information of CABIS and the target text receivers, ASEAN people, the significance of the report and the general structure of the report.(2) task description and theoretical pillar. The overall situation of the9th CABIS preparation work is introduced. Then with the German functionalist translation theory as a bench mark, the author conducts a revision of the representatives and their ideas, and points out the significance of the functionalist theory to the translation practice in the9th CABIS.(3)the analysis of translation tasks and the summaries of translation strategies. In detail, the textual analysis of the source texts is first depicted. Then a discussion on the key information and difficult points in the text and the difficulties encountered in the translating process is expounded. Finally the translation strategies are elaborated.(4) the summary of translation practice. The translation experiences are summarized and the limitations of this report are stated in this part.
