In the process of human social civilization, language is an important prod uction. The most fundamental difference between countries and nations is langu age. Idiom is a part of proverb which is full of national characteristics and wi dely used in the daily life. Study of idioms is meaningful no matter in teachin g research or in practical application of language.The research object of this thesis is body idioms in Korea and Chinese. T he main research scope is about the idioms of eyes, nose, mouth, ears and fac e between Chinese and Korea. The research method of this paper is studying t he manifestations and comparing the meanings of body idioms.On the basis of previous studies, this paper confirm the definition of idio ms. From the perspective of sematic morphology, comparing the body idioms b etween Chinese and Korea. It can divided into five parts according to the wor ds’meanings and its expressions, that are synonymy, homograph, Allo-graphic Synonyms and only exits in Korea and Chinese. This paper is composed to dr aw the commonness and individualities by analyzing this five parts.Language is closely tied to the culture and history background. Idioms as a kind of popular colloquial English, is an oral production in people’s labor cr eation. It is vivid and has local culture and ethnic characteristics. The common ness of Chinese and Korea’s body idioms are because of the two countries cul tural communications. Both the countries are belong to the Chinese culture circ le. In contrast, as to the fundamentally differences in nationality, history, cultur e background, living environment and language of two countries, there also exi sts many differences in the implied meaning and performance.Therefore, the in-depth comparative studies of the body idioms of two cou ntries, will contribute to understanding the culture and national features.
