Chinese Idioms(followings are briefly referred to as idioms),refers to a kind of words with fixed structure,lively form which is commonly used in people's daily lives.It is a subclass,a most simple and lively part of idioms.At the same time,idioms are also an important carrier of Chinese culture,as well as an important medium of the communication and dissemination of Chinese culture.Idioms' teaching is one of the most important part of Chinese vocabulary teaching in Teaching Chinese as a second language.Contrary to other words,it is difficult to learn idioms in Teaching Chinese as a second language as they always contain double meanings,rich emotional expressions and other reasons.Whether students can properly use idioms in language communication is a scale to measure the level of foreign students.And behind idioms,there are rich Chinese culture in thme,so Idioms teaching is an important means to cultivate students' cross-cultural communication skills and is one of the most important ways to spread Chinese culture.The colloquial and humorous features of idioms have left a deep impression on foreign students and stimulated their interests in the study of idioms.There is a going that the whole body was created by our parents,so every part or organ are treasured by our Chinese,thus some basic words such as hand,foot and mouth are all come from body parts.With the development of language,people have created a large number of idioms containing body parts and body organs while working which was called body idioms by the author of this thesis.Amomg some kinds of idioms,body idioms are most closely to human as it is related to people's social activities and emotions,and body idioms are frequently used in daily life.So the author regarded body idioms as the object of study,analysed them from different angles and investigated them from foreign language teaching materials such as HSK dynamic compositioncorpus.Finally,on the basis of the first two chapters,the author designed a classroom teaching of body idioms in teaching Chinese as a foreign language to promote the usage of idioms and the development of teaching Chinese as a second language.
