The Contrastive Study On ’Parg-Da’ In Korea And ’liang’ In Chinese

Polysemy is one important mark of the language development and evolution. Therefore, the understanding and use of a polysemy has become a difficult problem in vocabulary learning, it is also a important segment we have to face. Although Korea and China belong to the Chinese cultural character circle, it’s difficult for the language learners to choose the proper words in different language sit-uations because of the difference in vocabulary system.’PARG-DA’ in Korean and ’LIANG’ in Chinese both are polysemys. Each of them is very important in its vocabulary system. In addition, there is a phenomenon of one word having different part of speech in Korean and Chinese. Korean word’PARG-DA’can do adjectives and verbs, Chinese word ’LIANG’ can act as adjectives, verbs and nouns. Korean word ’PARG-DA’ and Chinese word ’LIANG’, this two words both have rich meanings and variable usages. So the comparation between them will be helpful to the Korean language learners and Chinese language learners.The ultimate goal of language contrast is to find out and expland the similarities and differences between different languages. In this paper, based on the research methods of comparative linguistics, taking the methods of combination with description and explanation, commonness and personality research, to analyze Korean word ’PARG-DA’ and Chinese word ’LIANG’ from two aspects of semantics and syntax, Find out the similarities and differences, and try to explore the causes of their similarities and differences. Full-text consists of four parts, the main content is as follows:Chapter one is a brief introduction to objects and purpose of the research, the present state of the research of Korean word ’PARG-DA’ and Chinese word’LIANG’, research methodology, paper structure and Corpus sources.Chapter two is semantic contrast between Korean word ’PARG-DA’ and Chinese word ’LIANG’. First identified all meanings of ’PARG-DA’ and ’LIANG’. Then subdivided the meaning of the two words according to the part of speech and meaning transfer methods. And then had a comparison and analysis between ’PARG-DA’ and ’LIANG’in the basic meaning of words and derived meaning. At last found out the similarities and differences, and analyzed the causes of similarities and differences in meanings of the two words.Chapter three is Syntactic characteristics contrast between Korean word’PARG-DA’ and Chinese word’LIANG’. First identified the sentence syntactic function and structure of ’PARG-DA’ and’LIANG’in sentences. Then made a comparative study between the two words in the two aspects, and found out the similarities and differences.Chapter four is the conclusion. In this part it generalized and summarized thecontent. And also pointed out the defects and the direction in the future.
