Polysemy is an essential mark of the language development and evolution. Therefore, the understanding and use of polysemic words have become an important segment in vocabulary learning, as well as a big challenge to face. Although Korea and China are in the same Chinese character culture circle, it is still difficult for language learners to choose proper words in different language situations because of the difference in vocabulary system.’QI-DA’ in Korean and DA’ in Chinese are both polysemic words. Each of them is very important in its vocabulary system. They both have rich meanings and variable usages. As a result, the comparation between these two words will be helpful for both Korean and Chinese language learners.In this paper, the writer analyzed the Korean word’QI-DA’and Chinese word’DA’from two aspects:semantics and syntax. Basing on the research methods of comparative linguistics, the writer summarized the the similarities and differences of the two words through description and explanation as well as the combination of commonness and personality research. The writer also tried to explore the causes of them. This full-text consists of four parts, the main content is as below: The first chapter is the introduction part of the paper. The writer introduced the research objects and purposes, research significance, research methods and corpus sources, etc.The second chapter explains the semantic contrast between ’QI-DA’ and ’DA’. Firstly, the writer summarized and compared the basic meanings of ’QI-DA’ and ’DA’; Secondly, the writer analyzed the derived meaning of both words. Through analysis and comparison, the writer made a summary of the differences and similarities of the two words.The third chapter describes the comparison between the Korean word’QI-DA’"and Chinese word’DA’from the perspective of syntactic features. The writer summed up the syntactic function and syntactic structure of the two words and made comparisons between them from syntactic aspects.The fourth chapter is the conclusion of this paper. while summarizing the content of this paper, the writer also pointed out the deficiency of it and made the prospect of the future study.
